-You try to turn your friends into Hutcheads
-You always have to listen to the whole Sounds Like This CD

-You annoy your friends with Eric's photographs and blog entries.
-You can listen to both versions of the same song without thinking, "I just heard this!" and turning the second one off. (both versions of his songs are AWESOME in their own right lol)

the only cd that's been in your car's cd player since you bought a car with an actual cd player is sounds like this, and even though you have mulitple copies of it, you still burned your self a copy because the thought of it getting scratched or ruined in the heat is too much for your heart to handle.
when your friends send you holiday cards and they all say have a hutch filled new year or some variation.
when your friends think eric hutchinson/ hear eric hutchinson they think of you.

You go to a concert just to Eric's 30 min set, then leave right after

you drove 4 hours to see him open for kelly and didn't care to sit through kelly's set, but did anyway because rock with you was coming. well, that, and i paid through the nose for kelly's tickets, and kelly does put on a good show...

When you get separation anxiety from not listening to his music. Even though a second ago, you were just listening to one of his songs on full blast and singing at the top of your lungs.
When you think random thoughts about him at night while on the computer like, "Would Eric be proud of me for taking in French? He seems like a very French-speaking guy." And then translate them online in French, and while you're at it, Spanish. Just for kicks.
When you have a stupid dance anyone can do made up for the "And I said oh!" line in Oh! then do it in the halls at school. All the time. Even when people are watching, hoping it'll catch on.
When you hear "All Over Now" on the intercom in Staples and scream and start singing and dancing in every aisle, while people look at you like you're nuts, but you could care less. All the while praying you're not the only one doing this in the store, and it'll be fate, but you totally know it's just you. And yet, you still don't care.
When you go on family trips and tune your family out by putting "Sounds Like This" on full blast and repeat.
When you consider finding an iPod skin with a "Sounds Like This" motif, even when you know they don't exist. But you would totally make one.
When you have 3 copies of "Sounds Like This." Acually, 4. 1 you bought at Target, 1 from iTunes, and 2 you burned to give to friends, but never got around to doing, so now they're sitting around in your closet. But you're saving them because you say, "I'll give it to them next year." They're still there. Procrastinator.
When you acually feel horrible just thinking about throwing away extra album covers of Eric's you printed out while making a burned copy and trying to find the perfect size to fit in the jewel case. It'd be like throwing away the Bible to you. And throwing away the Bible is a sin. No one wants that.

Run fast for your father
Run for your children and your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You can't carry it with you if you want to survive

The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses
'Cause here they come"

And my mom thinks I'm crazy too. I'll buy a CD off iTunes, and if I really love it, I'll go out and buy it again. She doesn't get it. I do it because I want it as backup or whatever if something happenes to my computer, or if something happens to my iPod, because I won't be getting another one if mine breaks. Besides, it's good stuff on that CD. Always worth the money for good music.

Am I preachy? I am sorry.
I am totally not trying to be mean. I still like you! hahah! Just let's not burn copies of cds that can be purchased from a favorite artist.
You know you are a Hutchead when you get overly passionate about what he deserves???

And I totally understand about what you're saying about his rough times at the begining. Don't worry, I still like you too.
And yes, you know you're a Hutchead when you get overly passioniate about what he deserves. But last time I checked, it certainly wasn't a problem.
So let's move on. We're taking some of the fun away from the people who came here to reply to the question.

You keep his CDs in a separate drawer from all your other CDs because nobody in the house is allowed to use them without permission fearful the hard-found older ones might get damaged or lost if someone left them in a car.

I do that too! Except none of my friends listen to him, so it's just me singing. People think I'm crazy. They don't realize what it's like to be a fan... *sigh*
YKYAHW...
You write a song about your experience singing and dancing in Staples to "All Over Now."

When you've let your best friend borrow the CD in hopes that they will like more than just Rock&Roll.

When you scream, "OMG PEOPLE SHUT UP!!!! I HEAR ERIC ON TV!!!!!" and scare the crap out of people because they don't recognize the song like you do. Then promptly turn up the volume as loud as you can and dance.
When you stop calling him "Eric Hutchinson" and start talking about him on a first name basis, and give him stupid little nicknames like he's a close friend or family member.
