I'd love to hear about how you guys first found out about Eric. Did you stumble upon his myspace page or hear about him from a friend? Post about it here and find out how other fans discovered Eric too. :)

Found him while surfing around on Itunes. Downloaded Sounds Like This and listened to it for weeks straight.

I heard about Eric through a Jason Mraz board that I am a part of in '05. I checked out "That Could've Gone Better" and loved him since.

A couple years ago -- some time between the release of That Could've Gone Better and Before I Sold Out, otherwise I'm not sure of quite when -- someone on a livejournal community was going on and on about him and how he was such a great guy to see live. At first I was thinking, "Yeah, but his music probably sucks." Then that mysterious internet hero told me he was from Maryland and I've got a thing for local acts, so I downloaded That Could've Gone Better from eMusic and I was sold.

Heard about him on Elliot in the Morning, then downloaded a show off the archive and loved it. Saw him play a few days later in Richomd, bought the CD, and the rest is history.

surfing i-tunes about a year and half ago I found EH and Brett Dennen at the same time (Before I Sold Out) and I've loved them both since - gotta admit though that when choosing between seeing EH live and Brett Dennen Live I chose Mr. Eric Hutchinson just the other night in Portland Oregon. - He performed his tail off and I loved it!.

I'm a very very new fan and heard about him through my friend who is a big fan of Justin Nozuka. She invited me to watch their show about two weeks ago, and I really enjoyed myself. At the concert I took pictures and got "Sounds Like This" signed! I really wish they had been selling his older albums though! :( <3

I found Eric a few years ago right before Before I Sold Out was released. I don't remember who told me about him cause it's been so long. I think I saw his name on myspace and was intrigued that he was from right near where I live in MD.

Theresa, Elliot had a whole interview with him back in early June. I actually didnt hear the interview, but Elliot talked about him a bunch of times leading up to the interview. The interview was up on hutchead and eitmonline.com. I believe he played Rock & Roll and All Over Now solo acoustic during the interview. They might still be available for download on eitmonline.

It looks like it isn't up there anymore. I don't suppose anyone happened to save an mp3 or something...? -crosses fingers-

Danielle, you are my hero! Elliot in the Morning is one of my favorite morning shows, so Elliot (and Flounder!) + EH is like a dream interview.

I was there! It was awesome. My friend was the one he said was "Mildly into it" She left a total fan and has listened to nothing else in her car since we left.
It was a really awesome show.

I heard about him on the Jason Mraz boards (I'm a jason nut, beware)

Ok Amy,

it's up to you and I to kick up some more EH fans so he'll come back!!! That wasn't the biggest crowd :) But maybe after sisterhood and the release of the "Rock & Roll" video ... I just want him to come back to portland.

So your "mildly into it" friend likes the CD? Tell him to download "before I sold out"!! I like his version of All over now on the album the best.
